God is the Lover, we are the beloved.

In commanding us to glorify him, God is inviting us to enjoy him.

~John Piper
God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in him

God is our lover and our friend

And come along.

The rain is over and gone.
12 ‘The flowers have already appeared in the land;
The time has arrived for [a]pruning the vines,
And the voice of the (B)turtledove has been heard in our land.
13 ‘The (C)fig tree has ripened its figs,
And the (D)vines in blossom have given forth their fragrance.
Arise, my darling, my beautiful one,
And come along!’”

Psalm 127:2
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
2 It is vain for you to rise up early,
To [a]retire late,
To (A)eat the bread of [b]painful labors;
For He gives to His (B)beloved (C)even in his sleep.

1 John 3:2
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
2 (A)Beloved, now we are (B)children of God, and (C)it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He (D)appears, we will be (E)like Him, because we will (F)see Him just as He is.

We are His bride. And do you know that every time when we look upon God in prayers, His hearts jumps a little faster?

Song of Solomon 4:9
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
9 “You have made my heart beat faster, (A)my sister, my bride;
You have made my heart beat faster with a single glance of your eyes,
With a single strand of your (B)necklace.

Ephesians 5:25
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
25 (A)Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and (B)gave Himself up for her,

God desires to love us and we are satisfied to beloved by him. When God loves us he is glorify. The chief end of man is to glorify God by being satisfied in His love. No we don’t do the job of a lover. Each has its roles. We only serve to irritate Him by trying to love Him for we are a poor lover. When you try to love Him using your different method, you are rejecting His love. You are saying that you are a better lover than Him. “Let me love You instead”. Nothing irritate Him more than that. Imagine your wife brought you a flower and open the car door for you? Don’t you feel insulted?

Let Him love you instead for He is the greatest lover and He is creative in expressing His Love. He is the groom and we are the bride. And it is in the pleasure of the groom to serve His bride.
For the bible says God come to serve and not to be served. This is a divine declaration. That He is the great I AM and He is self-sufficient. He doesn’t need you to serve Him. You are the needy person Not God. You serving Him only serve to insult Him because He is the groom and you are the bride. For He had said His grace is enough. We humiliate God with our works. It’s like the cross is not enough. O unbelieving generation!

We are all curse after the fall. We all desire to control our God, but He will rule over us.

Mark 10:45
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
45 For even the Son of Man (A)did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His [a]life a ransom for many.”

Acts 17:24-25
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
24 (A)The God who made the world and all things in it, since He is (B)Lord of heaven and earth, does not (C)dwell in temples made with hands; 25 nor is He served by human hands, (D)as though He needed anything, since He Himself gives to all people life and breath and all things;

2 Corinthians 12:9
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
9 And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for (A)power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather (B)boast [a]about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.

Mark 9:19
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
19 And He *answered them and *said, “O unbelieving generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring him to Me!”

Genesis 3:16
New Living Translation (NLT)
16 Then he said to the woman,
“I will sharpen the pain of your pregnancy,
    and in pain you will give birth.
And you will desire to control your husband,
    but he will rule over you.[a]”

The bible also says that He Chose us and we did not choose Him. This is a divine declaration that Jesus Christ is the Lord. Who are we O man to choose our God. For you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away. It is an utter insult to God when man says He chose Him.
He has mercy on who He has mercy. And He does whatever He pleases.

He alone is God and He alone is to be worship. No question asked for we are but a worm. Who are we that God should take notice of us?  For it is written, “(A)As I live, says the Lord, (B)every knee shall bow to Me,And every tongue shall [a]give praise to God

What happen when we chose God? Our minds are fickle and we will abandon God in the slightest trial in our life because our heart is deceitful to us. But take comfort when God says he chose us because God is sovereign. He will adhere to what He says. What come out of His mouth He will not let it return empty.

We are totally depraved and unable to seek God (Romans 3:10-18)

So than you may ask: "How do we know God". He will call you. For it is written "My sheep (A)hear My voice, and (B)I know them, and they follow Me" (John 10:27) You will know when He calls you because a natural man (B)does not accept the things of the Spirit of God.
(1 Corinthians 2:14) God will grant you repentant (2 Timothy 2:25) and He will drawn you with His Lovingkindness (Jeremiah 31:3). You will be compel by the love of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:14) to seek Him and eventually finds Him when you seek Him with all your heart. (Jeremiah 29:13)

No one comes to me unless it is given to him by my Father.(John 6:65) Judas was not given to Jesus. There were many influences on his life for good. But the decisive, irresistible gift of grace was not given.

John 15:16
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
16 (A)You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and (B)bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that (C)whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you.

New American Standard Bible (NASB)
11 So will My (A)word be which goes forth from My mouth;
It will (B)not return to Me empty,

And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.

We by being delighted in his love, glorify Him. Because God as a supreme being takes pleasure in giving to you. And when God gives to you, He is glorified.

God loves to bears his arms and flex his muscle and work on behalf of those who thrust Him. Because the giver gets the glory. And he is bid on getting glory in your life.

When you call upon the lord with eagerness, the Lord will come chasing after you making sure things are well with you. God never gives up pursuing you.

20 yet, with respect to the promise of God, he did not waver in unbelief but grew strong in faith, (A)giving glory to God,

We on our part only need to receive from Him. Unless you convert and become like little children receiving from Him, you cannot enter the Kingdom of God. Stop trying in vain to pursue God using your own effort. Instead be humble to admit that you are needy and rely on God for his providence.

Matthew 18:3-4
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
3 and said, “Truly I say to you, unless you [a]are converted and (A)become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven. 4 Whoever then humbles himself as this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

Romans 9:31-32
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
31 but Israel, (A)pursuing a law of righteousness, did not (B)arrive at that law. 32 Why? Because they did not pursue it [a]by faith, but as though it were [b]by works. They stumbled over (C)the stumbling stone,

Even when you serve God. You are receiving from God. It is always through drawing strength from Him that enables you to serve Him. So it is always God giving to you. And you are the receiving end. So that God is glorify through you receiving from Him.Your works comes about by the manifestation of grace through faith in Christ.

All serving is receiving not giving. When you serve not in your strength but in the strength that He supply, He gets the glory.  The giver gets the glory. So every minute of your life. You are on a quest to get so that you don’t get the glory. God get the glory you get the help. God get the glory and you get the joy. God get the glory you get the power. This is very humbling. Every minute we are total dependant under the water fall of grace.

Now when you serve Christ. The fruit of your service is produce out of the manifestation of your faith in Christ by the grace given. It is always in the act of receiving not giving so that no one could boast. And every time you receive from God, He is glorified through you.

You see the Lover gives and is glorify while the beloved received and is satisfied.

Amen.

Only by faith through Christ can we be justified before God.

Galatians 2:16
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
16 nevertheless knowing that (A)a man is not justified by the works of [a]the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we may be justified by (B)faith in Christ and not by the works of [b]the Law; since (C)by the works of [c]the Law no [d]flesh will be justified.

Marriage indeed is a profound mystery ordain by God.

Ephesians 5:31-33
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
31 (A)For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and shall be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. 32 This mystery is great; but I am speaking with reference to Christ and the church. 33 Nevertheless, each individual among you also is to (B)love his own wife even as himself, and the wife must see to it that she [a](C)respects her husband.

We respect God by delighting in His Love and God being the Supreme Being is His pleasure to give you whatever you ask of Him.
