Christ Commands to Make Disciples, Not Returning Customers.

Christ Commands to Make Disciples, Not Returning Customers.

Are we feeding God's Sheep or Amusing the Goats?

Is there not enough joy in the house of God that we need entertainment?

Entertainment is the devil's substitute for joy.

Is there a fear of the Lord in the congregation?

Is there a gravity of the presence of God?

Malachi 3:16
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
The Book of Remembrance
16 Then those who [a]feared the Lord spoke to one another, and the Lord (A)gave attention and heard it, and a (B)book of remembrance was written before Him for those who [b]fear the Lord and who esteem His name.

Folks we've got to deal with sin, we got to deal with these things in life, you know there are divorcing and all these thing we have to do something about it. Man have to face a Holy God one day.

Every one shall give an account of himself to God one day.

Romans 14:10-12
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
10 But you, why do you judge your brother? Or you again, why do you (A)regard your brother with contempt? For (B)we will all stand before the judgment seat of God. 11 For it is written,
(C)As I live, says the Lord, (D)every knee shall bow to Me,
And every tongue shall [a]give praise to God.”
12 So then (E)each one of us will give an account of himself to God.

And if this message is not convincing enough to change you, no self-help program will. Only through holy reverence and a fear of the Lord can a person be change.

Matthew 21:13
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
13 And He *said to them, “It is written, ‘(A)My house shall be called a house of prayer’; but you are making it a (B)robbers[a]den.”

Oh Lord forgives us of our ignorant.
Treating your throne of grace with contemptment.

Lord have mercy on us in your dwelling.
For we know not of you from all our doing.

Lord what you want of us is to be still.
And let our soul be so spirit fill.

Lord may you relieve your elected from those suffering.
From all the treatment they are enduring.

Lord come quickly and deliver us from all these filth.
Set us free and relieve us from all those guilt.

Look upon us with mercy from your eternal throne.
As your elect comes before you with moan and groans.

Psalm 25:14
New Living Translation (NLT)
14 The Lord is a friend to those who fear him.
    He teaches them his covenant.

True joy comes from knowing and fearing God.

Psalm 2:11
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
11 [a]Worship the Lord with [b](A)reverence
And rejoice with (B)trembling.

“As the church runs headlong into judgment today the men of God instead of repenting and crying out and studying God’s word with all their passion are looking for models on how to keep lost people in their congregations and it’s wrong.”~Paul Washer

“What is the sign that someone has become a genuine Christian?
I wish that we would start teaching this again.
What happened to our theology?
What happened to our doctrine?
What happened to our teaching?

It went right out the window.
No one wants to study doctrine anymore.
They just want to listen to songs and read the back of Christian tee shirts.

...
What happened to truth?
Truth tells you this.
The evidence––the way that you can have assurance that you are genuinely a born-again Christian––is that you do, as a style of life, the will of the Father.

You say, “Oh, you’re talking about works.”
No, I’m not.
I’m talking about evidence of faith.”~Paul Washer

There is a reformation going on in our day. It is an attempt to change the nature of the church from the House of God to the House of Entertainment. Sinners are being coddled rather than convicted. God’s power and majesty are things of a bygone era! ~Jim Savastio
