The Glory of God!

The Glory of God!

What actually brings glory to God.

Does bringing lots of people to Church brings glory to God?

Does winning a battle with a vast army bring glory to God?

Does a talented man bring glory to God by bringing people to church using different programs instead of the word of God?

Talented man with eloquent speech does not bring glory to God if the message of God is not preach.

God don't use talented man to glorify Him.

It has nothing to do with talent!

God's Glory is of utmost important!

~Exodus 4:10-13
New Living Translation (NLT)
10 But Moses pleaded with the Lord, “O Lord, I’m not very good with words. I never have been, and I’m not now, even though you have spoken to me. I get tongue-tied, and my words get tangled.”
11 Then the Lord asked Moses, “Who makes a person’s mouth? Who decides whether people speak or do not speak, hear or do not hear, see or do not see? Is it not I, the Lord? 12 Now go! I will be with you as you speak, and I will instruct you in what to say.” 13 But Moses again pleaded, “Lord, please! Send anyone else.”

The Lord looks at the heart of a man and not at his appearance or physical stature.

It has nothing to do with physical stature!
God's Glory is of utmost important!

1 Samuel 16:7
New King James Version (NKJV)
7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees;[a] for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

Rather than using clever and persuasive speeches, Paul relied only on the power of the Holy Spirit.

It has nothing to do with persuasive speeches!
God's Glory is of utmost important!

1 Corinthians 2:1-5
New Living Translation (NLT)
Paul’s Message of Wisdom
2 When I first came to you, dear brothers and sisters,[a] I didn’t use lofty words and impressive wisdom to tell you God’s secret plan.[b] 2 For I decided that while I was with you I would forget everything except Jesus Christ, the one who was crucified. 3 I came to you in weakness—timid and trembling. 4 And my message and my preaching were very plain. Rather than using clever and persuasive speeches, I relied only on the power of the Holy Spirit. 5 I did this so you would trust not in human wisdom but in the power of God.

What if God wants to destroy the natural wicked man so as to display the riches of His glory for those whom He has mercy?

Can we accuse God of being unfair?
God's Glory is of utmost important!

Romans 9:20
New King James Version (NKJV)
20 But indeed, O man, who are you to reply against God? Will the thing formed say to him who formed it, “Why have you made me like this?”

Romans 9:22-25
New King James Version (NKJV)
22 What if God, wanting to show His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath prepared for destruction, 23 and that He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy, which He had prepared beforehand for glory, 24 even us whom He called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?

Does preventing the arc from falling more important or protecting the glory of God by not touching the arc because God say so is more important?

Which is render more important?

By touching the arc profane the glory of God because the arc is Holy. Anyone apart from the Levite who touches it defiles it.

Thus if the Glory of God is in the way, it is crucial not to touch the arc or face the death penalty.

Though protecting the arc is important. But not at the expense of God's Glory. Only the Levite are allow to touch the Arc of God!

God's Glory is of utmost important!

~1 Chronicles 15:2
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
2 Then David said, “(A)No one is to carry the ark of God but the Levites; for the Lord chose them to carry the ark of God and to minister to Him forever.”

~Numbers 1:51
English Standard Version (ESV)
51 (A)When the tabernacle is to set out, the Levites shall take it down, and when the tabernacle is to be pitched, the Levites shall set it up. (B)And if any outsider comes near, he shall be put to death.

~Numbers 4:15
English Standard Version (ESV)
15 And when Aaron and his sons have finished covering the sanctuary and all the furnishings of the sanctuary, as the camp sets out, after that (A)the sons of Kohath shall come to carry these, (B)but they must not touch the holy things, lest they die. These are the things of the tent of meeting that the sons of Kohath are to carry.

~2 Samuel 6:6-7
New King James Version (NKJV)
6 And when they came to Nachon’s threshing floor, Uzzah put out his hand to the ark of God and took hold of it, for the oxen stumbled. 7 Then the anger of the Lord was aroused against Uzzah, and God struck him there for his error; and he died there by the ark of God.

What if the Lord wants Gideon to attack the Midianites with just 300 soldier and gain victory against 135,000 Midianites army?

It has nothing to do with the amount of army!
God's Glory is of utmost important!

~Judges 7:7
New Living Translation (NLT)
7 The Lord told Gideon, “With these 300 men I will rescue you and give you victory over the Midianites. Send all the others home.”

What if the Lord wants the church with only 100 people to be save because their faith is base on the solid rock of His word, while 10,000 people in mega churches to be lost because their heart was not for Him?

It has nothing to do with the number of people coming to church!
Does the means justify the ends?
So you think for 10,000 soul God wouldn't have bear to let all these man lost wouldn't He?
Nothing can be compare to the Glory of God!
God's Glory is of utmost important!

Is God being unfair? He have mercy on whom He have mercy. For His sake for His own sake He will not let His name be profane and give His glory to entertainment!

~Psalm 130:3
New Living Translation (NLT)
3 Lord, if you kept a record of our sins,
who, O Lord, could ever survive?

~Matthew 20:15
New Living Translation (NLT)
15 Is it against the law for me to do what I want with my money? Should you be jealous because I am kind to others?’

~Romans 9:20
New King James Version (NKJV)
20 But indeed, O man, who are you to reply against God? Will the thing formed say to him who formed it, “Why have you made me like this?”

~Exodus 33:19
New International Version (NIV)
...I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.(C)

~Isaiah 48:11
New King James Version (NKJV)
11 For My own sake, for My own sake, I will do it;
For how should My name be profaned?
And I will not give My glory to another.

Most of the people have not found the favor of God they are looking for so earnestly. A few have—the ones God has chosen—but the hearts of the rest were hardened.

~Romans 11:4-8
New Living Translation (NLT)
4 And do you remember God’s reply? He said, “No, I have 7,000 others who have never bowed down to Baal!”[a] 5 It is the same today, for a few of the people of Israel[b] have remained faithful because of God’s grace—his undeserved kindness in choosing them. 6 And since it is through God’s kindness, then it is not by their good works. For in that case, God’s grace would not be what it really is—free and undeserved.
7 So this is the situation: Most of the people of Israel have not found the favor of God they are looking for so earnestly. A few have—the ones God has chosen—but the hearts of the rest were hardened. 8 As the Scriptures say,
“God has put them into a deep sleep.
To this day he has shut their eyes so they do not see,
and closed their ears so they do not hear.”[c]

The worst thief steals that which is most valuable. So consider your danger if you are a glory thief.

God is not opposed to us giving honor to whom honor is due; he is opposed to taking glory upon us which belongs only to him.
