Watch Out For False Teacher

Watch Out For False Teacher
====================

When you teaches that Salvation is by grace through faith, not by works coupled with Repentance and Baptism are necessary for the forgiveness of sins and to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit , you are in effect contradicting yourselves.

By what you teaches, you nullify that Salvation is of free grace.

Works are actions that steals away the glory due God.

By declaring that Baptism and repentance are necessary for salvation, you are saying that this work of baptism and repentance has secured your salvation.

You are in fact declaring to God that you have done your fair share of duty by repenting and going through baptism, now give me my deserved salvation.

And you are in effect competing with the glory of Christ with what you do. (Isaiah 14:12-15;Psalm 115:1) This is works base salvation.  A heresy.

Baptism is done out of reverence for God. (Colossians 2:11-12;1 Peter 3:21;Galatians 5:11-12) Acknowledging that Jesus Christ is your Saviour. It is a pledge of a clear conscience towards God. Baptism points back to Christ who saves you. (1 Peter 3:21) Baptism gives glory to Christ not taking away the glory due Christ. By saying that baptism is necessary for salvation, it robs away the glory due Christ.

Repentance is granted by God. (2 Timothy 2:25) It is by the mercy of God that your heart have been changed. (Ezekiel 11:19) You ascribe it to the Lord for granting you repentance and thank Him for it. (Psalm 29:2;Luke 18:10-13)

You don't secure your salvation by your repenting. (Ephesians 2:8-9) Tried as you might, you can't repent. (Romans 3:11;Ephesians 2:1) You think you have repented but your ways of repenting are not God's way. (Proverbs 14:12;Isaiah 55:8) By the very act of assuming that you can be saved through the things you do in other words going through baptism, is evident that you have not repented of your sin of unbelief. You still have the sin of unbelief that Christ alone can save you so much so that you go all the way to ensure you compensate with baptism and your self declared righteousness which you assumed to be true repentance. (Matthew 23:15;23:4)

Let say for example. If you were to give God something in the hope that He will pardon you for your sin, It is still up to His pleasure to pardon you.(Psalm 115:3;Job 9:12) Your something does not guarantee His pardon. If God accept your something, then He would not have Jesus to die on the cross for your sin. God only accept the offering of Jesus. Only the sacrifices of Jesus can appease His anger. (1 John 2:2) Your offering only arouse His anger. Because you are competing with the glory of Christ. This is a hideous sin. You and your congregation will perish because of your lack of knowledge. (Hosea 4:6) Pray that the Lord may open your eyes. Recant from your wrong belief for the sake of all the people under your wings. (1 Corinthians 3:11-15) Perhap the Lord may have pity on you and show you and your congregation mercy. (2 Samuel 12:22)

This is not a mere transaction my dear friend. (Galatians 6:13-15) Do this and you will be alright or do that you will be ok. (James 2:10) It is about His grace, His mercy, His Soverignty and His Glory. (Philippians 2:10) Yes continue to live a righteous life. Yes continue to repent because He is worthy. And pray that the Lord will grant you true repentance for He is a merciful God.

If at any point you are still confuse, think about Him and everything will make sense to you.

2 John 1:10-11
New Living Translation (NLT)
10 If anyone comes to your meeting and does not teach the truth about Christ, don’t invite that person into your home or give any kind of encouragement. 11 Anyone who encourages such people becomes a partner in their evil work.

Life Application Commentary
=====================
John instructed the believers not to show hospitality to false teachers. They were to do nothing that would encourage the heretics in their propagation of falsehoods. In addition, if believers were to invite them in, such action would show that they were approving of what the false teachers said and did. It may seem rude to turn people away, even if they are teaching heresy, but how much better it is to be faithful to God than merely courteous to people! John is condemning the support of those who are dedicated to opposing the true teachings of God, not condemning hospitality to unbelievers. John adds that a person who supports a false teacher in any way shares in the teacher’s wicked work.

False teaching is serious business, and we dare not overlook it. It is so serious that John wrote this letter to warn against it. There are so many false teachings in our world that we might be tempted to take many of them lightly. Instead, we should realize the dangers they pose and actively refuse to give heresies any foothold.
